Over the past two weekends, regional primary and high school tournaments have been held around the state, with the finals of both set to take place in Launceston next month.

Regional primary school tournaments saw 209 teams play a total of 400 games at Burnie, Penguin, Somerset, Elphin, Silverdome, Clarence, Moonah and Warrane.

The top three teams in division one progress to the state tournament weekend at Elphin Sports Centre on November 14 and 15.

Regional high school tournaments involved 163 teams competing at Burnie, Penguin, Somerset, Wynyard, Elphin, Silverdome, Clarence and Kingborough, playing a total of 352 games.

The top three division one teams progress to the state tournament weekend, also at Elphin Sports Centre, on November 28 and 29.
