THE V8 Supercars Dunlop Series has scheduled seven events across Australia in 2016, starting with Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Mildura’s Cameron Waters is leading the Dunlop Series.
All practice, qualifying and races will be shown live on Fox Sports, with marquee events at Clipsal 500 Adelaide, Castrol Edge Townsville 400, Wilson Security Sandown 500, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and Coates Hire Sydney 500 also shown live on free to air on Channel 10.
V8 Supercars CEO James Warburton said the addition of two marquee events confirmed the series as the No.1 support category for the V8 Supercars Championship.
“This is great outcome for the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series and will ensure that we are showcasing the next generation of stars to fans who can follow their careers from the beginning,” he said.
“Many of our drivers including Mark Winterbottom, Chaz Mostert and Scott McLaughlin have made their way through the Dunlop Series and it has proved to be successful pathway for many young drivers.
“Now the series will receive even greater exposure and we look forward to some exciting racing in 2016.”
Mildura’s Cameron Waters is leading the 2015 Dunlop Series on 1738 points, 149 ahead of nearest rival Paul Dumbrell.
