Breastscreen Van – The Breastscreen Van will be visiting Trangie and Narromine during October and November. In Trangie, the van will be located beside the Trangie Memorial Hall in Dandaloo Street from 30 October until 4 November 2015 and in Narromine, the van will be located in the Narromine Shire Council Administration carpark from 6 – 20 November 2015. This FREE service is available for all women over the age of 40 years. Please phone 13 20 50 to make an appointment.
2015 Chemical Cleanout – The 2015 household chemical cleanout will be conducted on Sunday 8 November 2015 at the Narromine Waste Depot between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm. This is a great opportunity to clean out your shed/garage, cupboards of any hazardous chemical you have lying around. 2016 Australia Day Awards – Council is now seeking nominations for 2016 Australia Day Awards in the following categories:
Citizen of the Year
Young Citizen of the Year
Community Event of the Year
Sportsperson of the Year
Junior Sportsperson of the Year
Children’s Champion Award
Residents are urged to nominate people and organisations who have made a difference in the community, or have achieved in sport. Award Nomination forms can be downloaded from Council’s website: 老域名narromine.nsw.gov备案老域名, or obtained from Council’s Administration building, 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine, Council’s Customer Service and Payments Centre, 120 Dandaloo Street, Narromine, the BP Service Station Tomingley and the Narromine and Trangie Libraries. Nominations for the 2016 Awards close on Friday 11 December 2015 at 5.00 pm and the recipients will be announced at the Australia Day celebrations across the Shire on 26 January 2016. Narromine Australia Day 2015 – Market and Craft Stalls – If any residents or organisations would like to participate in Narromine Australia Day 2016 celebrations, by conducting a market or craft stall, now is the time to contact Council to book a site. You will need to provide your own marquee, table etc and provide Council with a copy of your Public Liability insurance. No site fees will be charged, however we encourage you to make a donation to the chosen charity of the day.
