Kelly and Taylor Eilander. Picture: SCOTT GELSTON.WITH smiles on their faces and a few gurgly laughs, the Eilander twins are growing up fast.

Taylor Faith and Kelly Hope are now four months old and are happy, healthy and keeping their mother, Chantal, busy.

With the help of her husband Dennis and three other children – Zack, 5, Amy, 4, and Alexis, 3 – the Eilander’s have created a loving and caring home for the newest additions to their family.

Born at just 32 weeks and weighing in at less than 3 kilograms, the girls have grown up a lot since the last time we checked in.

The identical twins now have their own personalities and quirks but have continued to hold onto the strong bond that has stayed with them since birth.

“Taylor’s the laidback one, Kelly’s more demanding and always wants cuddles,” Mrs Eilander said.

“We’ve got lots of smiles and they’re just starting to giggle a little bit now which is really cute.”

Although Kelly had a short trip back into hospital due to sickness, both babies are now in good health and the whole family is lending a hand to make sure they have constant care.

“They’re very good babies, we’re very blessed,” Mrs Eilander said.

“They are just super content, they just feed and sleep and smile and be cute.

“It’s busy but you do what you have to so I don’t really think about being busy too much.”

The Examiner has followed the family’s pregnancy journey in the lead-up to the birth of the twins and will continue to regularly check in with the family over the next year as the girls begin to change and grow.

We hope to visit them again in the next few months.
