TWO men have been flown to hospital in Melbourne following a collision between twotrucks near Jancourt on Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred on Port Campbell Road about halfway between Cobden and Scotts Creek around 4.10pm.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said one of the truck drivers was trapped for about four hours.
“He has serious leg injuries,” she said.
“It was a very difficult extrication.”
The man was flown to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
The second man was flown to Essendon Airport and then taken by ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.His condition is unknown.
Emergency crews, including the SES and police units from Cobden, Camperdown and Port Campbell, spent over five hours at the scene.
The spokesperson said it was believed that after the collision one of the trucks ran off the road, hit a tree and rolled over.
